So! A lot has happened this past week (well 8 days) and I thought I’d share out a catch up for those of you who don’t have Instragam (that’s your only excuse not to follow me..). Last Wednesday, two of my favourite girlies came all the way from London to wish me farewell and happy birthday and treated me to dinner and wine at Oki Nami, Brighton (amazing!!!) and even bought me this adorable Oliver Bonas bracelet. I love it!!
Friday, I received one of my birthday presents from Jamie and that was a trip to Harry Potter Studio Tours. If I had left England for good and not gone, I would have been devastated! So, I made him go with me. As reluctant as he was, he loved it! And for good reason, it was absolutely incredible!! Such a good time. I’ll do a post solely for that when I get all my pictures uploaded but if you want to see my instavids of the tour, they are here, here and here.
Saturday was my actual birthday, I became the big two-zero. Scary! and my lovely Mumma Bear came all the way from Henly to see me and she bought me more presents (see the others here) that were pj’s from Fat Face and a cute bracelet. The pj top was too small and there was this huge kerfuffle with exchanging the top but it’s all sorted now and mum and I have matching sets. So cute! I just couldn’t resist a selfie in their super cool changing rooms as I loved what I was wearing. We then grabbed a coffee from (probably) my favourite coffee shop in Brighton (Cafe Coho) and then headed down to Coalition on the beach for a bottle of Rose and some sun.
This wonderfully hilarious shot of me posing on the basketball court is a gem I found scrolling through my phone from Thursday night after my last shift at Yum Yum Ninja, Brighton. I was pretty intoxicated (to put it nicely) and Jamie was kind enough to come in and walk me home.
Sunday was incredibly hard to face. I had had 4 nights of drunken fun by this point and my hangover was retched. This called for a big Billies hash breakfast. I will forever miss the farmhouse hash. if you’re in Brighton, check it out! It is humongous but worth it!
For my last night in Brighton on Tuesday, Jamie took me to all the “must try” places of Brighton. Pictured was the amazing cocktails at Valentino’s. Not pictured but worth a mention was the amazing red wine at Ten Green Bottles and the awesome dinner at Pompokos.
Yesterday, being Wednesday, was the day I left Brighton, tears were shed. But the happy stuff was that the lovely girls treated me to a champagne breakfast (alright, prosecco) at Bohemia. It was amazing! and it was so lovely to have a final catch up. Jamie and Mum both came to the airport to see me off and we had some food to last me the night at Joe’s Kitchen at Gatwick. Delicious! The chips were so awesome. And lastly is the vending machine at Hostel Smith in Nice as it sells cans of Heineken for 1.50 Euro. So cheap! and in a machine? What?!
The unphotographed events include a (drunken) but amazing lunch at Yum Yum Ninja with Steph on Monday. An ill conceived idea to meet everyone at the pub Sunday evening (soft drinks being the choice of the evening) and a very amazing, very drunken, fun night out on Saturday for my birthday.
So, a big THANK YOU to everyone who has been buying me birthday presents, food and alcohol. It’s all much appreciated and another thank you to everyone who has made the last week so amazing. And please, no one give me any more alcohol for a while.
and a thanks for reading!
