Jamie and I have been doing some exploring lately and we came across this adorable little cafe, called Shore Cafe, at Shorehaven beach, about a 45 minute drive north from the centre of Perth. It’s on a beautiful beach and although it was above 30 degrees this day, it was pretty windy so it felt perfect. I’m starting to enjoy the warm weather and I’m beginning to understand why people look forward to summer so much. I’m not sure that I’ll ever prefer summer to winter but at least I’m not dreading it this year! To some of you, I’m sure you’re thinking at this point that I’m crazy, how can you not like summer? I don’t honestly know, all I can say is that it just makes me feel uncomfortable. I just really hate the feeling of being hot, and in Australia it gets really hot!
We had a couple of soy flat whites (standard) and some chips. I think everyone who knows me, knows how much I love chips. And these were really good chips! We did actually want a decent lunch but unfortunately they didn’t really offer any vegan food, there was at least none on the menu. I’m sure if we had asked, they probably could have sorted us out with something, but they seemed a bit busy and we couldn’t be bothered. The coffee was excellent and the whole place had a cool, relaxed vibe.
I said it earlier but it was so windy! It was almost impossible to get a good photo of my outfit, although I’m sure the pro fashion bloggers could have done it, and used it to their advantage! Unfortunately, I need to work on my posing and angles because I just couldn’t get it to work for me!
All in all it was a lovely little spot and would happily visit often. I love the little beach chairs and it’s so peaceful up that way. If you want something to do on a day off, I think it is worth a visit, especially if it’s a beautiful sunny day. The wind can sometimes be a bit intense but if you get there early in the morning it would be beautiful to swim there too. I love finding these cute little spots around Perth so let me know if you know of any!
