The other day I saw an article on Vogue that announced Rag & Bone are opening their first Australian store in Melbourne. This is so exciting as Rag & Bone are a great mid-luxury fashion brand that specialises in wardrobe essentials. They are a bit pricey but the quality is supposed to be top notch. In full disclosure I haven’t actually ever purchased a thing from the brand but I have lusted after it for a long time. So to celebrate their first store in Australia I thought I would share my current favourites from them.
Everyone needs a good pair of black jeans right? I love a pair of structured jeans that aren’t black as I find they tend to have a laid back, easy look but paired with the right outfit makes them look so chic.
Similarly, can you ever go wrong with a blue skinny jean? Ripped jeans seem popular than ever and I love that these have more than the standard knee rips but they also don’t look like you’ve been dragged through a thorny bush.
Pinstripe pants are no longer just for pimps from the 20’s and are now a pant for all occasions. I personally love the way these look styled down with a old tee and sneakers or dressed up with some pretty boots and a fitted top. Love how they’ve styled these with the mixed stripes and the statement boots!
Is this dress not minimalism chic? So simple but the off shoulder and the split detail just gives it enough oomph. These are the kind of pieces I love having in my wardrobe as you can wear them in so many ways. Dressed up or down for winter or warmer weather, I don’t think it could do wrong for any occasion.
My reasoning for picking this skirt is pretty much the same as the pinstripe pant. There’s something about an A-line skirt that just never goes out of fashion. It’s so flattering and is a chic addition to any wardrobe.
The Pyjama shirt is something that has been around in fashion for a little while now but I just adore it’s casual smartness. It doesn’t matter that you spent hours getting ready, it just says ‘hey, I rolled out of bed, put some pants on and left” but in a good way.
First up I want to say that these models seem to be in some kind of strange fashion yoga classes that are beautiful but odd. The second thing I want to say is that the stylists at Rag & Bone are totally on the same vibe as me. Absolutely love the pieces out at the moment and I can’t wait until I can book a ticket to Melbourne primarily to see family but secondly to shop. I’m definitely going to factor in a visit to the Rag & Bone store into my budget too.
Thanks for reading and let me know what your favourite piece is!
