Have you noticed the one thing I forgot in the photo here? Yes, sunscreen! I know how could I?! But here we go, my beach day essentials:
I think it’s so important to keep yourself hydrated. Being in salt water, in the heat and in direct sun means that drinking water is your best friend. Staying hydrated will stop you getting sun stroke, help keep you from getting sunburnt and keep your skin looking fresh! Why wouldn’t you?
If you don’t have sunscreen in your beach bag than get prepped for the consequences because skin cancer and looking like a leather hand bag is not what I would call fun. Don’t be silly, get yourself covered in 30+.
To be honest chips are really the essential beach snack but if you’re trying to be healthy then some fresh fruit is the next best thing. The best thing about having some fruit is that it keeps you hydrated, unlike chips which will dehydrate you further. Watermelon is the best for this but any fruit is good.
Sunnies, how could we spend a day at the beach without a pair? The glare from the sand and the reflection from the water? It’s way too frustrating spending the day being squinty.
Something to Read
I like using the beach as a bit of a way to detox from technology, obviously the phone is there for a few photos or whatever, but it’s nice to get away from scrolling for a short time. I love reading books usually but at the moment I’m obsessed with home magazines!
What are your beach day essentials?
Thanks for reading!
