I may have spent a little bit of money at Mecca recently and Jamie picked me up a few Kat Von D items when he was in Sydney too! I’m so excited to get stuck into all of these bits and bobs but was saying them until I could take some half decent photos. Side note: There’s really not very good lighting spots in our new house and it doesn’t help that it’s winter and the sun just isn’t as available as it was before! Therefore, my photos are a bit dark at the moment, even though I took them in the middle of the day!
Anyway, back to the haul!
This little primer sampler kit was exactly what I didn’t know I needed. I wanted to get some kind of setting spray as I’m going travelling to Europe for 2 months and it’s going to be hot. I also predict a lot of walking and hiking and general adventuring. I know that I probably won’t wear a lot of makeup but I still want whatever I do choose to wear to last me all day, and potentially all night. So, hopefully this works well! This little kit includes the Photo Finish Primer Water which is supposed to work as a setting spray as well, the 24 Hour Eye Shadow Primer, the Photo Finish Foundation Primer, and the Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer. I think $41 is reasonable because even though these are sample sized or travel sized products, they’re still pretty decently sized! The Primer Water is 30ml as opposed to a full size of 116ml ($48), the Eye Shadow Primer is 4ml, a third of the size of the full size (12ml, $29), the Foundation Primer is half size at 15ml (full size 30ml, $54) and the Under Eye Primer is also half sized at 5ml (full size 10ml, $43). If you work that out based on the size and price of the full sized products, it would be about $12.41 for the Primer Water, $9.67 for the Shadow Primer, $27 for the Foundation Primer and $21.50 for the Under Eye Primer, a total of $70.58!! Therefore, $41, is kind of a bargain, and they’re cute and perfect for travel! Win – win!
My beautiful best friend picked this product up for me at the start of this year, because she’s amazing, and it is hands down the best eye liner I have ever had the pleasure of using. It is wonderfully easy to use and it stays so long. It’s such a pure black to. Love it so much that I needed a back up.
I have been lusting after this palette for such a long time. It’s full of beautiful brown and red based shadows that I just haven’t had the pleasure of experimenting with yet. I will 100% be doing a review on this palette, and most likely taking it away with me too!
I have just finished the To Save Face 50+ and I absolutely loved it. However, it’s a little pricier and a little smaller than the 30+ version and I heard rumours that this one is just that bit lighter and more comfortable to wear. I’m the biggest advocate of always wearing SPF on your face (even if you never feel like you see the light of day), it just ages the skin so much! So it feels a little strange to not be using the highest SPF possible (especially as I’m about to go away into the warm weather and spend a lot of time outdoors) but I just couldn’t resist giving this a go. I mean, wearing thick, heavy product on your face when it’s hot is just horrendous, so anything to lighten up the load so to speak is good for me.
Have you used any of these before? What are your thoughts on them?
