|L’Oreal – Micellar Solution £4.99|
At first, I was skeptical of this new fad in skincare. Every blogger and their mum has been raving about Micellar Waters. Now that it has filtered down into the drugstore I thought I’d give this a go. Superdrug currently have a 2 for £6 promotion. I picked up two as it was only an extra pound, thinking that if I didn’t like it, I could pass it on to someone else.
Surprisingly, I LOVED IT!
|Bit put off that it’s not cruelty free!!|
This product claims to remove all traces of make up, tone the skin and soothe it too. Up to purchasing this I relied on baby wipes and my cleanser to remove make up but was never that satisfied with the results. This does seem to remove most to all of my makeup pretty easily. I do tend to go through 3 cotton pads, 4 is I’m being thorough with my eye makeup, which does annoy me a little, but I suppose I should just buy those jumbo cotton pads and it’ll be better!
I have noticed an improvement with my skin since using this. I believe that is a result of removing all my make up and allowing my cleanser to work better. Not sure if this does more than just effectively remove my make up but it’s so satisfying seeing all my makeup just wipe away.
I would repurchase this product but I wouldn’t necessarily want to repurchase the L’Oreal version even though I like it, I’d rather find a cruelty free version. I found the B. Pure Micellar Water after purchasing the L’Oreal version. Which is sold for £4.99, so the same price but 50ml less than the L’Oreal. It’s on sale at the moment for £3.32. What would make me want to purchase this over the L’Oreal is that it is cruelty and paraben free. If I wasn’t leaving the country and need to save space (and money) I’d be purchasing this to review and compare for you guys!
Have you jumped on the Micellar bandwagon? Have you tried the B. version? What do you think of it?
