This is the first Festival Focused post that you’ll see from me. I’m just so excited to plan my outfit but I’m still so far from knowing what I want! So when I wanted to research festival outfits, my first point of call was ASOS. Sometimes I find ASOS a little overwhelming when there isn’t something that I am specifically after, so I headed straight to their Exit Festival edit.
Most of the clothes are a little too “Festival” for me, I know how that sounds but it was a lot of very hippy/70’s influenced clothes and quite loud prints which is just not me. I have a basic, neutral toned style. I used to play more with prints and colours but I find these days I’m settled into what patterns and colours I like. But I saw this ASOS Halter Playsuit and fell in love. I knew that this was going to be my feature item of this outfit. I love that it’s black and white, I love the cut and I think it’s such a fun piece! Now I’m not sure how comfortable it would be, and seeing as I’m rather large busted, I don’t know how well this would work on me. But as this is just for ideas, I wanted to run with it.
I decided to pair it with some basic silver jewellery in the form of the ASOS Premium Embellished All Over Crown Headband and the ASOS Open Arrow Leaf Arm Cuff. As the dress is so heavily embellished I wouldn’t want to be overloaded with jewellery. The Crown Headband would be stunning over some messy beachy waves or a voluminous, messy braid.
It’s a bit of an odd choice and I wouldn’t be sure of it until I tried it but I love wearing sneakers to festivals as they are SO COMFORTABLE. I cannot stand wearing sandals at these kind of events, your feet get so uncomfortable and dirty and the risk of a strap breaking is so high. So I chose these Adidas Originals ZX Grey and Pink Trainers. They’re cute and shouldn’t show up too much muck. To set of the trainers, I thought I’d go with the Marc B Across Body Bag as its a similar pink and adds a bit of colour to my otherwise monochrome outfit.
Let me know what you think of my outfit choice! and what shoes do you wear to festivals and why?
