This cleanser is really, really good. It’s also kind of intense. It’s contains chemical exfoliators and helps to reduce the appearance of pores and imperfections. I was recommended it as I get hormonal breakouts and I have noticed that the breakouts I do get go away a lot faster than they used to.
As I use it morning and night, I was told to make sure I use sunscreen everyday to make sure that my skin is protected. It is harsh and it is an intense cleanser but it has done the job well. I’m not sure it’s a long term solution and I’m interested to see how my skin reacts if I stop using this cleanser. I think that if you have really oily skin or you suffer from bad acne. It definitely has to be used in conjunction with a good moisturiser and face oil. A word of warning, do not get this in your eyes, ouch!
In verdict, I like it and it works well, but it is so harsh that I’m not sure that it’s a good fit for me long term. I don’t think I will repurchase it, at least not straight away. I would like something similar but not quite as strong. The other deterrent is that although Dr. Brandt claims to be against animal testing, they do sell their product in China.
