I did a bit of shopping on my trip but one of my favourite shopping moments was at Charlotte Tilbury. An old friend and I met up in central London just to hang out and grab a coffee and we decided to go makeup shopping after. We walked past the Covent Garden Charlotte Tilbury and we had to go in as it was a mission of mine to make a purchase from the brand. First off, I love the store, it is absolutely beautiful. Secondly, the man who helped up was absolutely brilliant. He was so lovely and helpful. My friend has an extreme nut allergy and he did all the research necessary to assure her that what she wanted was nut free.
I wanted to buy everything, and I mean that. I wanted one of everything in the store but I held myself back (why am I not rich yet?) and only grabbed two items. The first thing that caught my eye is the Colour Chameleon Eyeshdow Pencils. They are all beautiful and it was difficult to chose but the colour I went for was Bronzed Garnet. It is supposed to bring out green eyes specifically. I have blue-green eyes but they tend to be more blue than green most of the time. I just loved the shade so I decided to go for it! For some reason I just couldn’t get good photos of the pencil itself so you’ll have to bare with me.
I obviously had to pick up a lipstick. How could I go past this packaging? I’m such a sucker for pretty packaging. It’s such a pretty gold and the classic look is just so perfect. The colour I chose is Bond Girl which is a dark berry pink colour. It’s a ‘Luminous Modern-Matte Lipstick’ apparently and I would categorise it as matte but it’s definitely creamy. It feels so nice to wear and doesn’t dry out your lips. It’s not overly long lasting, re-application is necessary after eating/drinking but it wears fairly well. It’s now 100% in my favourites basket and I wear it often, but sparingly because it’s so special to me.
Kitty wanted in on the swatch action. The left is the Bronzed Garnet Eyeshadow Stick and left is Bond Girl. It’s so hard to capture the colour that is Bronzed Garnet. It is a bronze, shimmery, buttery, beautiful colour but in all the hundreds of photos I took, it just looked brown. I really need to invest in some good lights as the natural light in our flat isn’t great, particularly in the dim weather we’ve been getting lately. So I apologise for the lack of visual representation in this post, you’ll just have to take my word for it!
Have you purchased anything from Charlotte Tilbury? What do I need to add to my collection?
