Jamie and I had an amazing day out this week full of my favourite things. To start the day we used a gift voucher given to us from Jamie’s family to go for a champagne breakfast which was so lovely. The George doesn’t offer a lot in terms of veggie/vegan food but the Avocado and Tomato on Walnut and Oat Toast is gorgeous! I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a decent breakfast in the city. There’s also something about having champagne for breakfast that is so decadent as well. The manager at The George was also lovely, and looked after us so well.
After leaving breakfast we decided to get some house inspiration and looked at various stores in Perth City and Subiaco. One of the most gorgeous places for homewares in Perth has to be Country Road. All the Country Road stores are lovely but the city one has a cafe and is just impeccably designed. Highly recommend a walk in.
We had a booking at the Cat Cafe in Subiaco that afternoon so we decided to wander around Subiaco as well, just looking for inspiration for our future home. This beautiful couch and hanging light combo is from a shop called District. It has some beautiful modern seating and I just loved the grouping of these lights and the concrete grey walls. I have a very minimalistic style and I love a bit of an industrial vibe to homewares too. Even though we are only at the very, very beginning of our build process, I love getting inspiration for furnishing because I feel like it really helps us get a feel for the spaces we want and how we want to have them finished, in terms of the build materials. However, I think we are both just super excited to decorate as well!
How cool is this graffiti art? It’s a wall in Subiaco and I had to make Jamie take photos for me. I love the shoes over the steel beam and I think that the art work is just amazing! My outfit this day is all too old to link unfortunately! It’s all over at least six months old except for the bardot body which is from Topshop which I know for sure is still available. Because of all this house stuff, which I know I haven’t spoken about yet but more details will come through (I can’t wait to do some home decor type posts!) but I’m being incredibly stingy. This means that I won’t be buying a lot of new things and doing super exciting stuff. So bear with me though this but I’ll do my best to keep the content interesting!
If you didn’t already know, my life is fuelled by cats and coffee and this is why it’s crazy that it’s taken me so long to get to the Cat Cafe. We went at 2-3pm which is quiet time in the cafe so most of the cats were snoozing. It was really peaceful and cute. I absolutely loved going and I love that they partner with the Cat Haven. I personally believe in adopting pets from shelters rather than breeders as these poor animals have been abandoned and really need love and care.
I hope you guys enjoyed our little day out, and the the snoozy cat photos.
