If you haven’t read the post about my Current Morning Skincare Routine, then I suggest you do that first as mostly it’s the same. I’ll do a brief recap for you though and that’s that I cleanse with the Mario Badescu Acne Facial Cleanser. Then I like to tone with the Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner and use the Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Corrector to help even up my skin tone. After that I finish up with the Origins GinZing Eye Cream. However this is where it differs, obviously I don’t need SPF to go to bed so I use a heavier moisturiser. I also wear a lot of makeup which a gentle cleanser is just not going to cut it when it comes to removing it. Those two changes are really the only differences between my morning and night routine.
Mario Badescu – Seaweed Night Cream
I actually really like this moisturiser but I am terrible. I’m terrible because this contains collagen which is an animal product. I’m obviously not very good at researching products before I buy them! If it doesn’t bother you though, this is such a good night cream. It’s thick but it sinks into the skin well. I hate going to bed with my face feeling sticky. It’s also a good product for someone with pretty normal skin. It’s really soft and gentle, and has a really lovely smell to it.
Aesop – Parsley Seed Facial Cleansing oil
I love this product so much. It removes make up effortlessly and just leaves the skin feeling so good. I tend to find that a lot of make up removers leave my skin feeling a little stripped. Then I have to cover my face in products to make my skin feel good again. Where as this, if I’m having a really lazy night I can take my make up off and not use any other products without my skin feeling rough. It smells good, it feels good and it’s vegan and cruelty free. What more can I want? The only bad thing is that it’s not compatible with eyelash extensions. Bummer.
