|Suvana – Certified Organic Paw Paw & Honey Balm – $7.99/25g|
I’ve been trying to write this post since this time last night and I keep getting so distracted! Any way, this is probably my most favourite beauty product at the moment! I got this in the Priceline Skincare Goodie Bag and didn’t really use it until I got sick a little while ago. I had this awful snotty, blocked, drippy nose that is still lingering!! I was constantly blowing my nose and obviously this seriously dried it out. Mouth breathing, caused by blocked nose, also made my lips dry out. Insert unimpressed face. I wanted something to soothe the areas and moisturise it and protect it a little, that wasn’t too expensive because, let’s face it, most of it would end up on a tissue when I had to blow my nose 0.5 seconds later! I remembered getting this in the goodie bag and so got it out.
I have used the Lucas’ PawPaw Ointment in the past and I know a lot of people swear by it but it actually contains petroleum jelly and that’s a big fat no for me. I don’t agree with using it, especially when I can inevitably ingest it! This does not contain any of that and does contain 100% natural ingredients with 98.1% certified organic ingredients, yay! And rumour has it that the packaging is eco friendly too!
I know that in terms of a lip balm it is a little on the pricey side, but it is under $10, quite a large tube and I love it so freaking much! It’s a great natural product that really works. It barely smells or tastes of anything and I do not like honey so I’d be the first to complain if it was strongly scented but it’s so mild that I don’t mind it. I have literally carried this around everywhere with me lately and I absolutely love it!!
The texture of it is a balm, and pretty thick. Although it’s thick it does sink in relatively fast, not instantly and it does take a little while, but it definitely doesn’t sit uncomfortably on the lips or skin. It is shiny though, so i don’t really recommend applying to areas other than the lips if you are going out in public!
Suvana are a natural, cruelty free Australian brand. I know you get this balm from Priceline and some health food stores.
