NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Mont Blanc – $65/30ml
Sheer Glow is so hyped about that I had to try it. I do really like it but I’m not sure it’s like holy grail. This colour is pretty much perfect for me though and I love the not too matte but not dewy look it leaves me with. The coverage is decent and only really need concealer for the reddest of spots. I recommend trying it if you haven’t.
NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder – $50/7g
I have never had a high end powder before and have just always sworn by Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. I didn’t really expect to be wowed, as how different can setting powders be? But I am surprised by how much i actually love this. I have to say that the finish this has is beautiful. I love that it’s mattes my foundation but doesn’t give me a cake face. I’m not sure I will repurchase this straight away as $50 is a lot for a powder but I do prefer it.
NARS Blush in Gaiety – $42/4.8g
This blush was a present and I love it! I did manage to do something weird to it and I had to scrape a layer off the top, hence the strange appearance. This brush looks scary but really gives a lovely bright look if you use a light hand with it. I don’t reach for it often but I always like the look it gives me when I do. I have a post on Gaiety here.
NARS The Multiples in South Beach (left) and Orgasm (right) – $56/14gm
These were both samples, so they are half sizes. I haven’t yet decided if I would actually purchase these. I like them, and they do give a beautiful, soft look, but I always layer over the top of them too. I like having them in my collection when I want to do a full on look but I don’t think I’d be devastated if I didn’t have them.
NARS Lipstick in Jungle Red (left) and Cruising (right) – $40/3.4g
The NARS Lipstick in Jungle Red is one of the first NARS products I ever bought and both of these lipsticks were bought because a Mecca make up artist used it during a makeup application. Jungle Red was for my 18th birthday and Cruising was used for my wedding. These two colours have a special place in my heart. The formula is lovely and easy to wear. It’s a creamy finish but almost a creamy matte. It’s definitely not too glossy or wet looking. I have a full post about Cruising here.
NARS Pure Matte Lipsticks in Bangkok (left) and Tashkent (right) – $40/2g
The NARS Pure Matte Lipsticks are my favourite nudes at the moment. Bangkok has a pinker finish than Tashkent but both look amazing over different brown or nude lip liners. I find Tashkent too close to my skin colour so I can’t get away with it on it’s own but it looks so good over a mauve/brown lipliner. Highly recommend.
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella (2x) and Iberico, NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Yu, Torres Del Paine and Descanso – $39/2.4gm
NARS Lip Pencils are amazing! Cruella is definitely my favourite shade. I’ve spoke about these lip pencils here but I honestly reach for these all the time. I love the way they sit on the lips and the colours are beautiful.
