So you know I’m slacking on the blog posts when there’s only been one blog post in between this and the last Instagram post. Sorry!
I assure you I haven’t been only eating and drinking! I promise! I have taken a huge amount of other photos but I seem to only photograph foodie things on my Iphone to Instagram. But it’s all been amazing and deserves a mention. These were mostly taken in Florence as I stayed for 6 nights but did two day trips, one to Pisa and one to Cinque Terre.
So, the watch. I bought this and a green one of Ebay here and got them just in time for my trip. I love them! And may end up buying the beige one as they are only $3.99 USD. I love them!!
So the food markets in Florence are amazing and I could shop there all the time. The artichoke has to be one of the best I’ve ever had but the proscuitto, bread roll and buffalo mozzarella were awesome too. The beer was just because it was so hot! and I needed refreshing. 😛
So the next two were at the restaurant La Loggia at Piazza Michelangelo which has incredible views! I had been lost and hot and tired so treated myself to what I thought was going to be a very expensive meal. Ended up getting two free glasses of prosseco and only had to pay for the ravioli!
I can’t, unfortunately, remember the name of the Gelateria for the next two, but I had Chocolate Chip Cookie and Oreo flavour (if it’s not obvious, cookie is my next in line favourite after cookie dough, no theme there… :/) and it was delicious. Got myself a double glass of wine, because I’m on holiday and do what I want. So gooood….
Seeing a Nutella snack pot with a built in ice tea drink at the train station, I knew I had to try it! And it was gooooood…
Fried zucchini flowers and prosseco were a must have followed by an amazing lasagne was a meal to remember, just of San Lorenze, at another forgotten location, this was to die for.
Cinque Terre exhausted me, the heat was insane and made the hike very sweaty but it was well worth it for the views and a dip in the ocean and lots of wine made it well worth it. So much local wine, which was really, really lovely.
Lastly, the best gelato I’ve had so far was at La Carraia. It was incredible. Chocolate Orange was almost a mousse, so rich and delicious and the tiramasu was really light and creamy with little biscuits in it! loved it so much!
So, I’ll try to be a better blogger soon and post more but we’ll have to see as Venice is calling!
Thanks for reading!
